While earning a B.A. in Neuroscience from Middlebury College in Vermont, Jackie was developing her love for food and the outdoors. She simultaneously worked on the Middlebury Organic Farm, competed as a track and field athlete, and served in local restaurants, all while filling her free time with skiing and hiking. Following her time in Vermont, Jackie filled nearly every job in the restaurant industry. She now works as a ski patroller in the winter and as an organic farmer and a landscaper in the warmer months. Outside of work, you can find her skiing in the backcountry, trail running, or cooking delicious meals at home. She brings her studies of the scientific method to everything she does, including testing gear. This, combined with the space constrictions of life out of a 1982 13ft Scamp Trailer with her fur child (dog), Cim, means Jackie only has room for the best gear available.
