Ryan Baker

Ryan centers his life around living in majestic places. He has been lucky to gain employment that has situated him in the places he can pursue his outdoor passions-the breaks of Santa Cruz to the walls of Yosemite to the slopes of the eastern Sierra. He feels gratitude for the blessing of being able to make his work play. He has rappelled from helicopters, fought fires, performed as an emt, ski patroller, and mountain ranger, all as sources of income. Now for GearLab, he uses his pursuits and passions as a background of expertise to put products to the test. He currently lives with his wife in Mammoth Lakes and enjoys skiing, climbing, biking, and hiking whenever possible.
