Jessica Albery

Jessica Albery graduated with a degree in Journalism from California State University, Chico. When it comes to gear, she wants to know all the details to make an informed decision. She values thoroughness, research, and the presentation of facts, and uses these qualities to test products and write reviews.

After finishing school, Jessica chased winters, instructing and coaching snowboarding in Tahoe, Oregon and New Zealand, before settling year round in Truckee. She has had a wide range of jobs, including clothing retail, working in kitchens, running lifts, state parks, and coaching snowboarding, giving her experience in a wide variety of fields. When not reviewing gear, she enjoys exploring outdoors, reading novels, and trying new recipes.
