Bottom Line | A top-notch oven that adds air frying and dehydrating functions as well | It's expensive, but with the higher price tag comes a top-grade product that can do everything your oven, toaster, microwave, and air-fryer can do | Perfect for space constrained, discerning cooks | Its small size limits it to snacks, re-heating leftovers, or side dishes, but it's affordable and performs well | Lightning fast, small oven that practically replaces the convenience of a microwave |

Our Analysis and Test Results
The Ninja Foodi Digital Oven manages to be a top-notch toaster oven, one of the best air fryers, and an effective food dehydrator, all while conveniently flipping on its side to take up an inconsequential amount of kitchen appliance counter space when not in use.
Performance Comparison
Baking
All around, the Ninja Foodi Digital Oven served up delicious food in our baking tests. Everything from chicken to cookies to cakes was evenly cooked with a near-perfect texture.
The only thing to pay attention to when baking with the Ninja Foodi Digital Oven is its speed. In general, we found that it baked things faster than most ovens, meaning there's a decent chance that leaving cake or brownie mix in for the time specified on the box may lead to drier or slightly burnt results. However, by keeping an eye on the cake we made and taking it out when the outside got golden, we got better results from this countertop oven than we did from a fully-fledged conventional oven.
Ease of Use
The Ninja Foodi Digital Oven is definitely designed with user-friendliness in mind, starting with the interface. Despite taking up very little space and thus contributing to the relatively minimalistic design of the device, it is quite clear and easy to navigate. A single knob allows for quick scrolling through the multitude of cooking presets, as well as temperature and time settings.
On top of the slick interface, the Ninja Foodi Digital Oven utilizes a simple crumb tray that is easy to remove and clean. The door handle is on the side of the oven, which allows for a clear and unobstructed view of its contents.
Perhaps most importantly, the Ninja Foodi Digital Oven has a foot with a hinge, so it can be easily folded up when not in use. Its folded configuration can fit underneath most cabinets and takes up barely more counter space than a traditional slot toaster. Once folded back down, it can easily accommodate a full-sized 13" pizza.
Temperature Accuracy
The Ninja Foodi Digital Oven was one of the most accurate ovens we tested. Occasionally when set to 350˚, it would run just a tad hot. Otherwise, it managed to stay almost exactly at the set temperature. It also heated much faster than most ovens, going from totally cold to 450˚ in under 7 minutes.
Frozen Food
The Ninja Foodi Digital Oven produced great results throughout our frozen food testing. Tater tots came out crispy and evenly cooked, lasagna came out fully cooked with just the right amount of moisture, and flatbreads came out perfectly crispy.
The one minor issue we ran into was with frozen pizza. When cooking a full-sized pizza, one side tended to come out a little darker than the other. This discrepancy was small enough not to affect our enjoyment of the pizza, but it was noticeable.
Toasting
The Ninja Foodi Digital Oven continued to excel in our toasting tests, similar tot he dedicated toasters in our best toaster review. It was able to get a very even browning on bread and managed to get the cut side of bagels crispy while leaving the backsides warm and gooey. If you prefer your bagels toasted on both sides, it can do that too.
The only slight imperfection we found in the Ninja Foodi Digital Oven's toasting performance was in its toast map. When we loaded the oven wall to wall with toast, the toast placed close to the door came out slightly lighter than the toast in the center. However, this problem is much worse in most other models we've tested.
Should You Buy the Ninja Foodi Digital Oven?
For those looking for a top-tier toaster oven, the Ninja Foodi Digital Oven is a fantastic choice. Not only does it bake superbly, but it can also function as an air fryer and dehydrator, and it flips onto its end for space-saving storage. The Ninja Foodi Digital Oven is priced on the higher end of the spectrum for toaster ovens. However, it performs better than the vast majority of ovens on the market;and it can effectively air fry and dehydrate as well. If you're willing to spend a bit extra for premium performance, we think the Ninja Foodi Digital Oven delivers everything you'd expect and then some.
What Other Toaster Oven Should You Consider?
For the price, it is hard to do better than the Ninja if versatility and quality cooking are your goals. If you plan to make primarily frozen foods, and your budget allows, the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro is similar in its versatility, but performed somewhat better in our frozen food cooking tests.
